Water Smart Program
Water Smart Award Program
Our centre is proud to offer Australia's Water Smart Award Program from the Royal Lifesaving Society.
Water Smart is an education program to teach children vital safety information. In order to educate them to become aware of dangers in a range of aquatic environments.
Promoting safe behaviour around water and giving children the tools they need to be able to deal with basic emergency situations.
Royal Life Saving recommends that all children participate in both the practical and theory aspects of the water safety program.
Water Safety For Kids
27 children aged between 0-14years drowned in 2018. NSW has the largest number of drowning deaths in Australia.
We know that teaching water safety to our children is a priority for parents. That's why the Water Safety program puts an emphasis on building swimming capabilities and confidence for children in the water.
We encourage every child to learn how to swim whilst also enjoying the water. Working toward building their water skills and confidence in, on and around the water.
Water Safety Swimming Lessons
The Water Smart swimming lessons are a unique experience for students to develop their swimming skills and understanding of water safety. Within both a theory and practical environment.
Students will receive assignments to take home and share with their family.
This program also allows students to gain experience in open water. Designed to empower students to make safe aquatic related decisions whilst enjoying their local waterway.
Please be aware that children under five years of age may not be able to use their swimming skills in an emergency. Always keep watch over your children when around water.
